This has been just a fun filled, joy ride of a week for me. My quilt “Unfurling” won first place in the Innovative Pieced category at the IQA show in Houston, TX. I am so honored and humbled by the experience, and of course pleased as punch. But to add Joy to Thrill, my little quilt “Rainbow Pines II” that I entered in the art miniature section of the show sold. WHOOPIE. What a great week for me!

Going to the show is always fun and we (Laura W and I) get to see so many friends besides seeing so many wonderful quilts at the show. We rarely even get to go outside. Things are looking up at the Convention Center in downtown Houston. Many new and great improvements to the area made for a more enjoyable week. Lots of new restaurants to eat at.
