It’s good to be home from Florida even though it is still winter here in Illinois. I always like sleeping in my own bed. I meet some wonderful quilters down in Orlando at the Mancuso’s Florida Quilt show.
I’m home for a day and then off to teach at the West Michigan Quilt Guild Tuesday outside of Grand Rapids MI.
We will be making a bright and vibrant quilt called Laughing Leaves.
Come join us if you can and add a little color to your grey winter life. We make our creations out of my Rainbow strip hand dyed fabric and each one is unique and different. Even though everyone in class starts out with the same hand dyed fabric, a paper pattern and written directions, each student makes a totally distinct and original quilt top all their own. What fun it is to see each quilt emerge from the fused fabrics.
I will also be lecturing Tuesday evening on Free Motion Machine Quilting on a domestic home sewing machine, at Calvary Christian Reformed Church, 3500 Byron Center Avenue SW, Wyoming, Michigan. See you there.
