Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful. I am thankful everyday but today I am thankful to give away ravels. You know I am a hand dyer, I dye a little every day just for you. And because I dye so much and so often I get lots of thread ravels. Beautiful colored thread bits.

Leave me a funny and innovative comment, either about how you use these leftovers or how you plan on using these bonus gifts of dyeing, and George will pick out a winner to receive a free bag of thread ravels. I tried to get the birds in my area to use these in their nests, but I guess they are color blind.
I love to hear from you, if you have any questions that you would like to ask, go ahead ask away and I will try to blog an answer for you.

Summer is raveling away too fast.
I would love some hand dyed ravels to use as surface embellishment on my small art quilts.
Keep cool Frieda the heat wave is almost over.
Those ravels would be a cool addition to my fiber.

I would love some ravels. I have collected some of my own but they are very boring. I need something bright and cheerful for my new landscape piece. I want to fashion flowers out of the ravels which I can then bead.

I would love to add them to a crazy quilt for a bit of spice! I need a take along project for an upcoming road-trip, and have no idea yet what kind of small project to take along, this could be a great answer to keep me busy while sitting in the car. And..keep my mind off hubby’s driving.. eeeeek!!

I hope George picks me as I am the dog lover of all dog lovers (but maybe George doesn’t know he’s a dog). If I get chosen I will enjoy using the ravelings in my wild work-in progress colorful art quilt. I might also use them to tie around my fingers to remind me where I left my glasses . . . Thanks!
