Spring is coming

Spring is coming. My Daffodils up against the house are blooming and crocuses are up in the front yard. The red male Cardinals are in the trees trilling out a spring song looking for their mate. Now is a perfect time to make your own Cardinal quilt to hang on the wall and cheer you on.

I have a few of these Cardinal kits left and the spring version would look great in your home. The hand dyed fabric is scrumptiously rich and it is a quick project to make and finish since it is all fused, before REAL spring gets here.

This free PDF pattern is 18″ x 18″ finished and is made using my raw edged fusing technique. It contains the full size paper pattern for both versions as well as written easy to follow directions, along with the beautiful full color cover.
I have used a pinking rotary blade in my 45mm rotary cutter handle to cut out the fused binding and the leaves, but if you don’t own a decorative rotary blade then use your regular rotary cutter. You can view a tutorial of the fused bindings under the TUTORIALS section.
