I had a great weekend even though it has decided to turn cold a little early here in Illinois.
I gave a lecture – Flooded with Color from my book Fabric to Dye For – and taught a class – Three Pumpkins – at a wonderful store in St Charles IL called Sew Generously.
If you live in the area you need to stop in and check out this jewel of a store. On October 18th they are having 0% financing on all their BERNINA’s. You know you want a new one for Christmas!
We were a small but mighty group and it was a perfect day to be inside a warm, friendly and bright sewing space.
Every single one of the ladies finished the top to their pumpkin wall hanging. Job well done ladies. Now just go home and quilt it! and it get it on the wall before Halloween arrives.
Thanks to Karen and Carol for providing us with so much yummy food and drinks.
Beautiful jacket, Frieda. Did you make it? With your hand dyed fabrics?
The jacket is made with 6 pieces of 1.5 yard pieces of my blackened fabric along with 4.5 yards of black flannel. If anyone is interested I still have the directions to make it. Email me and let me know.
Frieda
Love your jacket. It looks nice and warm on those chilly days.
