Quilting Arts article

I arrived home from judging the Dallas Quilt show last week to find my wonderful article in Quilting Arts Magazine. This is the new direction that I am taking my quilting. It is creating curves with freezer paper templates. I love this technique and have begun to teach it as well. You can get a feel for it in this article and make yourself a simple and beautiful Mug Rug to learn the technique, or, come out and take a class with me and immerse yourself in the fun. I’ll be teaching it in Bloomington IN in May and again in August at the Trends and Traditions event in Manchester NH.

I’m excited to get this article! I have just learned how to fuse with wonder under as you taught in your dye book and now I will have a chance to learn a new technique. Thanks for teaching this.

Wonderful article in QA! I am anxious to give it a try. I’d like to try using some pieces of your hand-dyed silk…would this work with the spray starch??? or should I use a stabilizer first?? or….
Thanks for sharing this technique with us.
