There is a fabulous show in downtown Chicago every year, at the Merchandise Mart – The One of a Kind show. Laura and I have been attending it since it opened at least 10 years ago.
This year we could only manage to go on Saturday due to our busy schedules. Oh boy was it crowded. Never again on a Saturday. However, we managed to have a marvelous time. Laura’s husband Steve went with us this year. I think he was a
bit overwhelmed.
I didn’t manage to get many pictures but I am going to tell you about some of my favorite booths, and send you to their websites if they have one.
I’ll start with the one place I got a shot of – Nancy Gardner Ceramics. Nancy is a friend of a friend, and I own several of her pieces.
I have a wonderful teapot with a curly que on the lid. It is fun to catch up with artist you know and see what is new in their booth. Steve bought Laura a little house for her collection. So special
We also ran into our good friend Pat Kroth, this was her second year at the show and her sister was there helping her out. Her booth looked fantastic.
We only saw a few other fiber people there Cindy Grisdela a SAQA member from VA was one. She too had a wonderful booth.
And our good friend Mimi Damrauer – Mimi Designs, who does fabulous graphic work. We first met Mimi in our group PAQA.
