PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE
I teach this class a lot and it ALWAYS fills up.
I hear the same remarks from my students as the class begins, I’ve tried but I’ve never gotten the hang of it. I did it awhile ago but I need a refresher, I wish I was better.
Here is the trick to free motion quilting on a domestic machine.
It is just not hard or difficult.
You must –
PRACTICE …………………..PRACTICE………………………….. PRACTICE……………………………….and PRACTICE some more.
I am constantly finding out new things about this process and I have been doing it for over 30 years.
I taught this class twice in Madison at the Quilting Expo and I just received this letter from one of the students in the class.
Dear Frieda,
Thank you for the practical suggestions and materials that you shared with us in the workshop. I started quilting 2 years ago and the first paragraph in your handout booklet sounds exactly like me. I’ve taken your suggestion about practicing free motion designs for a short period of time before getting back to unfinished quilting projects and it has already made a difference for me.
Thanks, again. Judy R.
I hope you get the message and get in there and PRACTICE! You can purchase my booklet on my website in the books section.
Have a great weekend.
