I am getting ready to start quilting on a large project.

Since this is a BIGGER quilt that is pieced, 60″ x 60″, I wanted to map out my  quilting before I started.

First I printed a smaller version of the quilt and doodled around with designs on paper with pencil.

Then I made templates of the areas that I wanted to place certain designs and with pencil in hand drew out the designs big. I wanted to make sure that when I repeat the design multiple times they are all alike and that they fit the space well before I started quilting.

I will keep you updated as the quilting goes along. These pictures will give you an idea of the process.
