Small Quilts mounted on Timtex
Level: Beginner to Advanced—One day—No sewing machine required
Inspired by the rolling Midwestern landscape outside her car, Frieda created this autumnal scene using fused fabrics. The news here is not only the evocative autumnal piece you’ll create, but also that it is fused to a piece of heavyweight stabilizer (Pletex or Timtex), which acts like a frame for your little art quilt. In the end you will machine quilt right through all the layers to finish your creation without binding!
In the morning a small quilt will be created.
In the afternoon Frieda will show the class several different ways to mount the quilt on a harder interfacing of Timtex or Peltex.
A kit takes the worry out of the fabric selection, and Frieda shows you machine-quilting tricks to complete this colorful art quilt .
