Going back to work after the weekend always takes a little doing.
Do any of you struggle with Monday morning blues?
I find that getting outside and walking helps or doing my morning routine of working out and then dyeing always gets me back in the work week mentality. It has been so gorgeous outside it is hard to spend the day inside working isn’t it?
This weekend I was able to attend my local SAQA IL/WI regional meeting at Denise Havlan‘s house. I don’t often get to participate in the groups I belong to because I am usually on the road, so this was a special treat for me.
Denise is an amazing artist and was so generous to share with us some of her techniques of collage and painted art work. Here she is in her studio (gorgeous studio) sharing while Hilary, also a SAQA member, and the rest of us look on.
I brought this piece - Watching the Water - to share and discussed how I make the fabric that is used in this piece.
I call it Wicked Fabric because of the way it is made.
What do you think?
